The primary aim of the unit is to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate through actual practice that they can undertake an organisational capability review process in an agreed organisational setting that is consistent with the majority of the requirements of the capstone module.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Apply theory of supply chain industry best practice in the analysis of a contemporary challenge in a case study organisation;
2. Apply planning and management innovation to supply chain management processes;
3. Evaluate the principles of evidence-based management and analytics to decision-making in relation to contemporary challenges in supply chain management;
4. Explain ethical, socially responsible and sustainable business decisions in a complex global to local organisational environment; and
5. Evaluate procurement strategies and practices, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management, in diverse organizational environments.
