Patterns of Preservation

For my visual arts assessment, I created a series of ceramic pieces inspired by coral patterns, using techniques like imprints, carvings, and clay addons to mimic the intricate, textural beauty of coral forms. Each piece features unique organic patterns that reflect the natural repetition found in coral structures, with a diverse palette of glazes to highlight their complexity. My ceramic pieces not only celebrate coral biodiversity but also invite reflection on the environmental threats these ecosystems face due to human activity.
