• Submit a piece of work that you think will demonstrate something about you and your interests. This can be a creative piece like an artwork, showreel, poem, short story, an essay you have written, blog or website, YouTube video, animations, audio works, or any other artefact/s. You can submit photos of physical works like artworks or sculptures. 

A statement that includes:

• An ‘About You’ section, including your interests, drivers, hopes and ambitions.
• What you think you will get out of studying a BA and potential future direction that you would be interested in pursuing. 
• Why you feel you are a good fit for this course. 
• A short description/statement to help explain your sample work (above).
• A short description of any paid and/or voluntary work, hobbies, awards (at school or elsewhere) and/or study experiences that may contribute to your readiness for further education. You can identify the skills you developed from each experience. Be sure to include documentary evidence or letters of support of any sustained engagement with community/volunteer organisations, or activist groups where possible.

Submit a portfolio of up to five pieces containing:

• creative writing projects in any genre or style, no longer than twenty-five pages in total
• a cover page with a short statement addressing the below question: 
  • What kinds of writing do you like producing and are you open to exploring other kinds? 

When answering the application questions, try to show us your personality so we can understand who you really are. 

Submit a portfolio with:

• an introduction outlining why you’re applying for portfolio entry and why you think you’d be a positive addition to our course. Tell us about any experience you have in heritage, including any relevant volunteering you’ve completed.
• a review of three heritage sites or experiences that you think are really engaging, innovative or unusual. For each site, tell us what makes them interesting and why you chose them specifically. They don’t all have to be physical sites. We’d love to read about heritage-focused websites, digital heritage, or intangible heritage.
• your vision for the future, including details of the sort of job you see yourself doing in the heritage field.

Submit a portfolio with:

• examples of work you’ve completed e.g. animations, illustrations, 3D work, concept art, audio, games, or other ways you have used digital technology to make creative visual works. You may link to websites or provide links to material on cloud services like Google Drive. 
• any additional information that will help us, such as any work experience you have (even if it’s unrelated: showing you can stick at a job is important), awards you have received at school or elsewhere, and anything you’ve done beyond school – for example, if you have a YouTube channel, or a social media presence related to your study interests.

If you’d like to study digital media but don’t have any experience in digital production, you are still encouraged to apply; you can provide a short video (up to 3 minutes) explaining your interest in digital media and why you’d like to study digital media at the ÌìÑÄÉçÇø. 

Submit a portfolio with:

• a written description and documentary evidence of work/volunteer experience you’ve undertaken either in Australia or overseas
• a written description and documentary evidence of sustained engagement with community organisations or activist groups 
• letters of support from your volunteer experience supervisor, community organisation or activist group
• written work completed at school or in your own time (e.g. essays, blog posts, creative writing, personal reflections, speeches etc.). 

Submit a portfolio containing up to five pieces from the following categories:

• showreel: documentary or fiction forms. We are looking for originality and creativity over technical proficiency.

• a personal statement with evidence and examples demonstrating how your capabilities and existing knowledge will contribute to your success in quantity surveying, engineering, and management science units that require mathematical based learning.
• an up-to-date resume/CV detailing your work history, which can include examples of secondary school or college leadership programs, extra-curricular activities, sports coaching, umpiring accreditation, TAFE/Registered Training Organisation (RTO) qualifications, industry training or accreditation, workplace training and more.
• examples of written work completed at school or in your own time  (e.g. essays, blog posts, personal reflections, speeches etc.).
• one professional reference:
  • If you are a high school student/school leaver, please include a reference from a teacher in maths/another relevant subject including contact details if authorised. 
  • If you are not a school leaver, please include a reference from a coach, mentor or employer, supporting both your achievements and the skills you’ve gained relevant to the building and construction management industry.

Submit a portfolio of up to five pieces containing:

• written or creative work – this can include media releases, promotional or advertising materials, websites, videos, news stories, research reports, blog posts, creative writing pieces, essays (maximum of one), speeches, multimedia presentations and more
• a cover page that includes a rationale explaining:
  • the audience for each of your pieces
  • how you tailored each piece to its audience.

• This can include journalism pieces, essays, creative writing examples, videos, blog posts, interviews, podcasts and more.

Make sure you include a:

• rationale for the topics chosen, explaining why they’re important stories to tell
• statement about the role of journalism in society and current challenges facing journalism 
• statement outlining your thoughts about the functions that journalism serves in society, and what the most important attributes are that a journalist should bring to their practice.

Submit a portfolio containing a project or written work related to marketing communications or branding. Your included works should display some of the below skills: 

• problem definition
• research and data analysis
• identifying target audience overviews/insights 
• idea development 
• implementation of communication/creative solution.

Submit a portfolio of up to five pieces of research-based writing containing:

• examples of non-fiction storytelling, such as feature stories, profiles, essays, personal experiences, videos, blog posts, photography, podcasts and more
• a rationale for the topics chosen, explaining why they’re important stories to tell
• a statement about the media’s role in sport which covers the reporting of issues, the portrayal of athletes and the broadcasting of sport.

In your portfolio and responses to the questions on the application form, please try to demonstrate your interest in sport and sports reporting.

Submit a portfolio of up to six pages of design-related projects.

• For example, these could be visual communication or graphic design-based projects; digital or screen-based works (e.g. website designs, UI/UX work, app designs); or industrial design concepts or projects.

Please include:

• documentation of your design process for each project (research, concept sketches, concept refinement and outcome)
• a rationale explaining your design decisions and influences, which addresses the problem you were trying to solve and is supported by a clear digital representation of your final design outcome.

Submit a portfolio with:

• images of products or artefacts you’ve designed
• a physical model for at least one of those products or artefacts
• documentation of each step of the design process for each product or artefact, explaining what led you to the final design and how you went about making your physical model
• evidence of your design process for each product or artefact, which can include your research, concept sketches, concept refinement, CAD modelling, prototyping, testing and development
• descriptions of each product or artefact, outlining what it is, its purpose, how it works, the motivation behind its design and what you think is innovative about it.

Submit a portfolio of up to five pieces containing:

• work related to interactive digital design (UI/UX) – this could include website designs, mobile apps, interactive physical devices (IoT), desktop applications and more
• a clear digital representation of your final design outcome
• a cover page including: 
  • a narrative that contains evidence of your design process
  • a rationale that explains your design decisions and influences, addresses the problem you were trying to solve, and includes your research, concept sketches, concept refinement and final outcome.

Submit a portfolio of up to six pages containing:

• projects related to visual communication or graphic design. This can include drawings, artworks, digital designs and more. Each project should take up two pages. 

Please include:

• documentation of your design process for each project (research, concept sketches, concept refinement and outcome)
